In this course learn the fundamentals of how to practice back-bending with safety. We take an in depth approach into alignment and progression. Back-bending is an integral part of our yoga practice, and yet it is something that many often struggle with. This course is designed in an easy to follow format that brings to you a sequence that targets various aspects in the back-bending practice. We will explore different postures, some of which will increase flexibility and others for strength. This workshop style practice draws from years of teaching and practicing. The sequence offered here has helped countless of my students in the past, taking their practice to the next level. The key to this sequence is in repetition. It is not a one-time practice, but rather something that should be done over and over to see benefits. Diving into this practice once or a twice a week will create noticeable changes in your body in just 3 weeks.

This course is for somebody who has been practicing yoga for at least one year. It will require a basic level of familiarity with postures and movement in general. Somebody with a completely sedentary lifestyle will find this practice challenging. Those that stand to gain most from this course are teachers and practitioners who have body awareness and a basic understanding of alignment within yoga postures. Been struggling with your back-bending practice for months/ years? Then this course is for you. Designed to make even the stiffest of backs malleable, this program has many options/ levels that cater to the beginner as well as intermediate practitioner.

Yoga is for everyone.

However, when online, it is up to the individual to assess whether they are ready for the class that they have chosen. Obviously, if you suffer from specific injuries or disease it is best to consult with your physician first. Similarly if you are pregnant, follow the recommended practice only. The practice of yoga asanas requires you – the practitioner – to gauge the safety of your practice within your personal physical limitations. It is better to build up slowly than to force and strain. Whilst one may feel exertion one should also feel relaxed.
